NO PETS ALLOWED

Pets are strictly prohibited on the sports fields, spectator areas, playground area, or sand volleyball courts, unless clearly marked as Service Animals.

PLAYER ELIGIBILITY

The age of the player on May 1 of the playing season determines the league-eligible playing age.

GRADE EXCEPTION RULE

PSO has a grade exception rule allowing kids to play “down” if they are in the same grade as players in that division.

• Players playing down must get approval from league leadership before the season.

• Proof of grade must be submitted for verification.

• Any exceptions for physical or health reasons must include a doctor’s note and league approval.

GAMES AND PRACTICES

• Games: Primarily on Saturdays (with possible Friday evenings for older divisions).
  Makeups may occur on weeknights or Sunday afternoons.

• Practices: Determined by the head coach (days, times, and locations).

PSO Baseball will offer the following divisions in 2026:

• 3/4 Tiny Tee

• 5U Coed T-Ball

• 6U Modified Coach Pitch

• 7U Coach Pitch

• 8U Coach Pitch

• 9U Modified Kid Pitch

• 10U Kid Pitch

• 11/12 Kid Pitch

Note: PSO reserves the right to combine divisions if registration numbers require.

⚾ 3/4 Tiny T-Ball (Coed)

• $80 Registration Fee

• 45-minute games

• Coaches umpire

• 6 games, no scores or standings

•  Medals for all players

• Level 5 RIF balls

• Minimum 9 players, max 12

• Games at Champions Field

• Opening Day – April 11

• Max # of Coaches allowed is 5 (1 Head Coach + 4 Assistant Coaches) 

⚾ 5U T-Ball

• $105 Registration Fee

• 50-minute games

• Coaches umpire

• 7 games, no postseason

• Medals for all players

•  Level 5 RIF balls

• Minimum 10 players, max 12

• Games at Champions Field

• Opening Day – April 11

• Max # of Coaches allowed is 5 (1 Head Coach + 4 Assistant Coaches)

⚾ 6U Modified Coach Pitch

• $130 Registration Fee

• 60-minute games or 6 innings

• 1 umpire

• 8-game season + single-elimination postseason tournament for qualified teams

• No tee in postseason (6 pitches max)

• League standings kept

•  Level 5 RIF balls

• Minimum 10 players, max 12

• Games at Champions Field

• Opening Day – April 11

• Max # of Coaches allowed is 5 (1 Head Coach + 4 Assistant Coaches)

⚾ 7U Coach Pitch

• $155 Registration Fee

• 75-minute games or 6 innings

• 1 umpire

• 8-game season + single-elimination postseason tournament for qualified teams

• 6 pitches per at bat

• Grade Level – 1st Grade

• Official League Baseball

•  Minimum 10 players, max 12

• Games on PSO Fields 1, 2 or 3

• Opening Day – March 28 or April 11

• Max # of Coaches allowed is 4 (1 Head Coach + 3 Assistant Coaches)

⚾ 8U Coach Pitch

• $155 Registration Fee

• 75-minute games or 6 innings

• 1 umpire

• 8-game season + single-elimination postseason tournament for qualified teams

• 6 pitches or 3 swinging strikes per at bat

• Grade Level – 2nd Grade 

• Official League Baseball

•  Minimum 10 players, max 12

• Games on PSO Fields 1, 2 or 3

• Opening Day – March 28

•  Max # of Coaches allowed is 4 (1 Head Coach + 3 Assistant Coaches)

⚾ 9U Modified Kid Pitch
For teams experiencing Kid Pitch for the first time - this division is structured to allow pitchers to learn to throw strikes in a controlled environment. 

• $155 Registration Fee

• 75-minute games or 6 innings

• 1 umpire

• 10-game season + single-elimination postseason tournament for qualified teams

• Coach pitches after ball 4 (max 3 pitches)

• Leadoffs – no stealing

• One base on overthrows

• No dropped 3rd strike

• Grade Level – 3rd Grade

• Official League Baseball

•  Minimum 12 players, max 14

• Games on PSO Fields 1, 2 or 3

• Opening Day – March 28

•  Max # of Coaches allowed is 4 (1 Head Coach + 3 Assistant Coaches)

⚾ *9U/10U Kid Pitch
*Advanced 9U teams or teams with 1 year of Kid Pitch already played will fit best in this division 

• $165 Registration Fee

• 90-minute games or 6 innings

• 2 umpires

• 10-game season + single-elimination postseason tournament for qualified teams

• Leadoffs with Modified Stealing Rule

• Dropped 3rd strike

• Runners can score from 3rd on passed balls/wild pitches (but no stealing home)

• Grade Level – 4th Grade

• Official League Baseball 

•  Minimum 12 players, max 14

• Games on PSO Fields 1, 2, 3 

• Opening Day – March 28

•  Max # of Coaches allowed is 4 (1 Head Coach + 3 Assistant Coaches)

⚾ 11/12 Kid Pitch

• $165 Registration Fee

• 90-minute games or 6 innings

• 2 umpires

• 10-game season + single-elimination postseason tournament for qualified teams

• Straight Steals 

• Dropped 3rd strike

• Grade Level – 5th/6th Grade

• Official League Baseball

•  Minimum 12 players, max 14

• Games on PSO Field 1, 2 

• Opening Day – March 28

•  Max # of Coaches allowed is 4 (1 Head Coach + 3 Assistant Coaches)

MODIFIED LEADOFF & STEALING RULE

This rule is designed to make play more realistic and develop player skills:

• Pitchers focus on mechanics and control.

• Catchers develop accuracy on throws.

• Runners can leadoff and take secondary leads.

• Pickoffs are allowed; runners advance at their own risk on errant throws.

• Runners can’t steal until the ball passes the plate or on a passed/wild pitch.
