2023 PSO Summer Camps




PSO Speed Camp ( 4 Week Camp)

In the PSO 5-week Comprehensive Speed Camp your athlete will learn the appropriate mechanics relating to acceleration, deceleration, max velocity, and agility.  We will be utilizing specific drills to enhance movement confidence, comprehension of specific body positions, coordination of multi-limb synchronization and rhythm of movement.  These abilities can be applied to skills on the field or court. They will be enhanced by the Laws of Learning, explanation, demonstration, imitation and repetition of specific movement skills.

Vedral Soccer Camp  (Girls and Boys) – Plano Campus

Ready for a fun summer soccer camp to improve your skills?  The camp will focus on the individual’s ball skills and agility.  We want to emphasize technique and the overall understanding of each skillset so that players are comfortable with the ball in every game situation.  Each skill is demonstrated by the coach.  The player is then pushed to mimic the skill in a game-like scenario.  We strive to make each player leave better than when they arrived and eager to go home to practice what they’ve learned.  There will be a gospel presentation given during the camp.

Basketball Camp - Adventure Week (Girls and Boys) – Plano Campus 

This PSO  basketball camp is designed for players of any ability level.  Camp instruction includes ball handling, shooting form, defense, passing, screening, individual offense, offensive concepts, as well as fun games of 1-on-1, 2-on-2, 3-on-3, 4-on-4, 5-on-5, and many other fun games that teach players a variety of basketball concepts.  Campers will get a t-shirt and a basketball along with daily prizes that they will compete for.  Parents of those also signed up for Adventure Week through Prestonwood Baptist Church can drop children off for Adventure Week in the morning and pick them up from Basketball Camp in the afternoon.  Please send them with a lunch and we will handle the rest!

North Basketball Camp - Adventure Week (Girls and Boys) – Prestonwood North Campus (Prosper)

Baseball Skills Camp - Adventure Week (Girls and Boys) – Plano Campus

This camp is full of FUN and creates a great environment to learn basic hitting, fielding and throwing skills.  Parents of those also signed up for Vacation Bible School through Prestonwood Baptist Church can drop children off for VBS in the morning and pick them up from Baseball Camp in the afternoon.  Please send them with a lunch and we will handle the rest!  Bring hat, baseball glove and sunscreen.

Cross Cheer Pre School Camp (Girls) – Plano Campus

Cross Cheer camps introduce young girls to cheerleading in a Christ-centered atmosphere. Campers will learn basic techniques including motions, jumps, cheers, tumbling, stunting and a dance to music throughout the week. Crafts, snacks, games and interactive devotionals are interlaced throughout each camp day to make learning about cheerleading and Jesus a blast! Look forward to an end of camp performance the last 30 minutes of camp.

Football Camp (Girls and Boys) – Plano Campus

This camp teaches fundamentals and skills development for all levels of football.  This is a non-tackle camp but does teach blocking fundamentals and footwork.  7-on-7 and 9-on-9 team play will be emphasized.  A mouthpiece is required.  Bring sunscreen, water and a snack if needed.

In-depth, time tested and proven methods of training for the pitcher and catcher positions in baseball.  This camp is a MUST for any child interested in learning drills and skills necessary to elevate their game.  Bring hat, baseball glove and sunscreen.

PSO Youth Skills Academy Basketball Camp

The PSO coaching staff will teach campers the fundamentals of the game. Players (both boys and girls) will develop a love for the game in a positive and fun environment where they will learn passing, shooting, dribbling and defensive skills through scrimmaging, drills and games.

Ambassadors Soccer Camp  (Girls and Boys) – Plano Campus

Ambassadors Soccer Camps are designed to give developing players (ages 4-12 all levels) an opportunity to learn basic and advanced skills in a fun, positive and encouraging Christian environment. Each day includes technical and tactical instruction at the individual and group levels, focusing on moves/skills, control, passing, dribbling, shooting and defending. Small-sided games, special age-related competitions and assemblies round out the daily program. The week concludes with individual competitions and the highly anticipated “World-Cup” tournament. The coaching staff is comprised of experienced coaches and players with national and international backgrounds. All of our head coaches are committed to Christ and great with children. 

In addition to the soccer experience, the mentor-coaches provide daily life- related “team-talks” geared towards communicating the life-changing principles found in God’s Word. Each camper receives 15 hours of soccer experience in a fun, safe, Christian learning environment and receives an Ambassadors shirt, personalized certificate of completion, camp pictures, team-talk curriculum, awards and prizes and much more. Ambassadors Soccer Camps are directed by the global soccer missionary Stef van Meerveld (the Netherlands) who serves with the global soccer ministry organization. www.ambassadorsfootball.org from the Dallas area.
