2026 SPRING FLAG FOOTBALL REGISTRATION OPENS November 20, 2026
6v6 Format – Grades PreK–4th Grade
7v7 Format - 5th and 6th Grade division (Tournament Rules)
6 regular season games
Roster size minimum of 10 players up to 12 players for 6v6
Once a division is full, registration will be closed — sign up early!
Teams will not be allowed to have fewer players than the league minimum if free agents are waiting to be placed.
Note: The number of teams per division may increase depending on enrollment in other divisions.

This league will improve the skill and confidence of each player in football while developing character through teamwork and encouragement.
DIVISION OVERVIEW
Free agents will be placed on teams that still have roster spots. Teams will not be allowed to have fewer players than the minimum if free agents are waiting to be placed.
Note: Some divisions may be combined if there are not enough teams in one age group. The Spring 2026 season will have 6 regular season games PSO guarantees a minimum of 5 games for the Spring 2026 season.
GAME DATES
Friday game dates (PK–6th): February 13th, 20th, 27th. March 6th, 13th, 27th.
No Playoffs in the Spring season.
Game Start Times 5:30, 6:30, and 7:30 PM
Some make-up games may be played on Saturdays or the weeknights. Dates subject to change.
REGISTRATION FEES

$135.00 per player — includes a flag set for each player and a game ball for each team.

PSO-approved uniforms and flags must be worn during ALL games.

Refunds: $25 administration fee; no refunds once practices begin.

Some age groups may be combined if registration is insufficient.

HEAD COACHES & ASSISTANT COACHES
PSO exists to share the life-changing message of the gospel of Jesus Christ through youth football. Coaches are expected to lead spiritually (prayer and brief devotionals), teach the game, and build character and confidence.
MANDATORY COACH / VOLUNTEER SCREENING PROCESS
All Spring 2026 PSO Football Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Chaplains, and Team Managers are required to register in Touchpoint. After registration you will receive email instructions for:

Submitting an online volunteer background check application (annual requirement)

Completing Ministry Safe / Sexual Abuse Awareness training (training required every two years)
Each team should have a Team Chaplain to lead weekly value lessons and a pre-game prayer. This can be the head coach, assistant coach, or a trusted parent.

UNIFORM ORDERING PROCESS

Coaches determine whether they need a full team set or add-ons for new players.

Once roster is final, collect sizes and the $50 uniform fee from each parent.

PRACTICE SCHEDULES

Practices may begin no earlier than February 2nd, on Prestonwood’s campus.

Practice days available: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday starting at 5 pm
-
No Wednesday practices allowed.

Head coaches are responsible for scheduling their practice slots.

Teams may practice at local parks if desired.
LEAGUE SCHEDULES & TEAM FORMATION

Free agents placed on teams with open roster spots. Teams may not be below maximum if free agents need placement.

PSO accepts full or partial teams. A player cannot be assigned until registration and payment are complete.

Two placement pools: Player Pool (new players assigned by zip code/school) and Team Pool (returning players assigned to their previous team unless they request otherwise).

STANDARDS OF PLAY
PSO league divisions are grade-based, not birthdate-based. A player is eligible for his/her grade level or higher. NO grade-down exceptions except via the formal grade exception rule or documented medical/physical reasons with league approval.

PROHIBITED ITEMS

No jewelry (necklaces, rings, bracelets, earrings) at games — taping over jewelry is not allowed. Jewelry must be removed.

No pets on sports fields (except marked service animals).
SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT
PSO Football emphasizes spiritual growth. Coaches lead weekly devotionals and prayer using value lessons provided via the FCA Coaches app. The Gospel will be presented during the season for players 3rd grade and older, allowing an opportunity to respond.
