Each practice and game is built to enhance soccer skills and foster personal growth and teamwork. Families are encouraged to come together, support one another, and experience the joy of the game.

Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches & Team Chaplain Information
PSO leagues strive to make every child a champion. Therefore, PSO coaches are led to encourage, motivate, and build each child’s self-esteem as well as his or her athletic ability.
All PSO soccer head coaches, assistant coaches and team chaplains are required to register per the instructions below. After you have registered in Touchpoint, you will receive email instructions for submitting an online volunteer background check application and to complete Ministry Safe training. We make every effort to protect our children, so we appreciate the time it takes for you to complete the requirements.
As part of our ongoing commitment to teaching positive life values to the children in our sports leagues, each team will have a designated Team Chaplain responsible for leading the weekly value lesson and pre-game prayer. This role can be filled by the head coach, an assistant coach, or a trusted parent who shares our values and is comfortable guiding these moments for your team.

Players will be placed on teams after the final registration deadline.
A player cannot be assigned to a team until the online registration is complete and payment has been received.
Free agents will be placed on teams with available roster spots. Teams may not have fewer than the maximum number of players if free agents are waiting to be placed.
There are two player placement categories:
Free Agent Pool (New Players)
Players who are new to PSO and not on an established team will be placed on teams as close as possible to their zip code and/or school and/or church.
Team Pool (Returning Players)
Coaches of returning teams must invite all previous players to return. Past players will be placed on the same team as last season by PSO staff unless they request to enter the player pool.
Players who participated in PSO last season may choose to be placed in the player pool if they do not wish to return to their previous team.
Uniforms & Equipment
The head coach is responsible for ordering team uniforms. Each player is responsible for reimbursing the head coach for their uniform cost.
Players are required to provide their own soccer cleats, shin guards, and the appropriate size soccer ball (see chart below).
Only soccer cleats or tennis shoes are permitted.

Spiritual Development
In keeping with our mission, PSO soccer is committed to introducing Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord to our players and mentoring them in the Christian life by the example set by our coaches and league officials. To that end, coaches will be supplied with value lessons that will be shared weekly with their players before each game. Additionally, prayer will be common at practices and games.
The Gospel will be presented to all players 3rd grade and older during one of their games, giving them the opportunity to respond to Christ's call on their lives.
Communication Policy for Soccer League Concerns
To ensure clear and effective communication, only head coaches are permitted to contact the PSO Soccer Director regarding any concerns or issues related to games, refereeing, or league matters. Parents with questions or concerns should address them directly with their team’s head coach, who can then escalate the matter if necessary. This policy helps streamline communication and allows the league to address concerns in an organized and efficient manner.
