Prestonwood Sports Organization announces 3 v 3 League
beginning Fall 2008!

What is 3 v 3?
Small-sided soccer = smaller fields with smaller goals and smaller rosters.
Fast Paced! No Goalies! No Offside!

Open to all age divisions U7-U14
16 games in an 8 week season (2 games within 90 minutes every Saturday)
End of Season Tournament for all teams
6 man maximum roster

No extra uniform needed (if your 3v3 team is formed from your PSO recreational team)

Coaches
PSO leagues strive to make every child a champion. Therefore, PSO coaches are trained to encourage, motivate, and build each childs self esteem as well as his or her athletic ability.

All PSO coaches are required to complete a thorough background check along with a coach certification program and exam. If you are interested in coaching a team, please contact

Practice Schedules
Coaches, along with input from the team, will determine the location and time of your childs practices. Coaches will not schedule more than two practices per week.

League Schedules
This will be a sixteen game season beginning Saturday, February 7th. Two regularly scheduled season games will be played on Saturdays. All teams will enter the post-season tournament which will be held April 6-10th.

Game Locations
All games are played on manicured fields, sized for the individual leagues. The PSO fields are located along Plano Parkway, west of Midway.

Team Formation
New teams are formed based on age and ZIP code.  PSO accepts full or partial teams. Players will be placed on teams after the final registration deadline. A player CANNOT be assigned to a team unless the online registration is complete and payment has been received. 

1. Team Player  Coaches can bring a complete or partial team.

2. Player Pool  Players entering PSO who are not on an established team will be placed on teams as close as possible to their ZIP code and/or school. Please indicate any special notes in the Preferred Coach section of online registration.

3. Draft Pool  Players who register after the Aug 29th deadline will not be guaranteed placement on a team.  Consideration will be on a first come, first served basis depending on the number of openings on current teams.  Otherwise, players might be placed on a newly-formed team based on the availability of a coach. 

Age Brackets
Participants will play in the corresponding age division. A copy of the players birth certificate is required prior to playing in any PSO games, unless a copy is on file from the previous year.

Registration Costs $65 for current PSO Recreational Players and $75 for all others.
