Introduction:
PSO Cheerleading is open to girls ages 5-12. This program will
focus on instructing girls in basic cheers and choreography, in an
uplifting and encouraging Christ centered environment. The squads are
non-competitive and cheer for PSO football teams on a weekly basis.
Practices take place once or twice a week at locations determined by the
coach. Devotionals will be given weekly by each coach. Games are played
on Saturdays at PSO’s manicured football fields located on the south
side of Plano Parkway between Midway and Marsh roads.
New squads will be formed based on age and the school you attend.
Please note that squad sizes will be limited.
If you are returning to the same squad, please choose that squad during
the registration process.
League Fees:
· $55
if registered and paid by June 1, 2010
$60 if registered and paid after June 2
· League
Fee includes: Registration fee, half-day clinic and end of season
performance and award.
On-line registrations will be paid by credit card only.
Uniform Information:
PSO will no longer
be providing uniforms. All uniforms will be ordered directly through
Team Leader, according to PSO guidelines. Each squad will be
responsible for ordering and purchasing their uniforms, after they have
been approved by Julie Bishop, PSO Cheerleading Executive Director.
Coaches:
PSO coaches are encouraged to motivate and build each child’s self
esteem as well as her athletic ability. All PSO coaches are required to
complete a background check. If you are interested in coaching a squad,

Game Day/Inclement Weather:
Schedules are based on the football schedule. If games are
cancelled due to field or current weather conditions, the PSO website
will be updated with the information. Cheerleaders are expected to be
at all games that are played.
End of Season Celebration:
This is a time for
the entire family to celebrate a great season, girls present receive an
award, a guest speaker shares an inspirational message and prizes are
given away.
Prior to the end of season celebration, each squad will have the
opportunity to shine as they perform in this non-competitive exhibition
for family and friends.
