PSO offers youth basketball for boys and girls, ages 4-12.
This year we are combining our Upward and Mavericks Leagues into one
great PSO Basketball League. Please read below to learn more about
our league and our select program.

PreK - 6th Grade

PSO Select Basketball Program
Boys & Girls, 3rd-6th Grade
The PSO Basketball League provides
children with a safe environment to improve their knowledge and
skill in the great game of basketball. Our PreK-2nd grade
divisions will play cross court games on lower goals that are age
appropriate. We utilize coaches and volunteers to referee the
games. No score is kept at this level and there are no league
champions recognized. In our 3rd - 6th grade divisions we
utilize the full court, use certified referees, utilize regulation
goal heights (3rd grade plays on 9' goals), keep score, provide
standings and in general present a situation that could involve
competitive pressure. An end-of-season single elimination
tournament is played to crown a champion of each division.
Trophies are given to each player on the 1st and 2nd place teams.
We do allow formed teams at every level. Some players will
come in on a pre-existing team while others will come individually.
We encourage both and strive to create a balanced and highly
competitive league.
The Prestonwood Select
Basketball Club is run and managed by people committed to
basketball and spiritual excellence. The program will help young
basketball players continue their skill development so they can reach
their goals and fulfill their potential as athletes and as young adults.
Throughout the year, the select teams will compete in top area and
regional league and tournament play as well as traveling to national
showcase events. Charles H. Williams is the PSO Select Basketball
Commissioner. His Elevate Your Game, Inc. (EYG) ministry has
partnered with PSO to bring the highest level of basketball and
spiritual growth on to the court. EYG, Inc. has programs for both
boys and girls. Our boys teams are the Eagles and our girls teams
are the Angels.
