Practice Night Devotions

have a devotion before or after each practice. If your coach or a
team representative is not having a devotion time at practice each week,
please contact Brad Freeman at
bfreeman@prestonwood.org.
Coaching Application
A coaches application can be downloaded
here. The
information on the first two pages can be typed in and emailed to
bfreeman@prestonwood.org
or faxed to 972-820-5200. The third page requires a physical
signature. You must bring it to the SFC Front Desk or fax it to
972-820-5200.
Coaches Meeting
Coaches will be required to attend a coaches meeting
where a clear message will be provided regarding the mission of the
Maverick Basketball League, league rules, expectations, etc. All coaches will be expected to attend and
sign a statement of understanding. Coaches meeting dates 10/15 & 10/18
from 6:30 - 9:30 pm. You must attend one of these mandatory meetings.
Coaching Clinic
Before the season starts we will conduct a coaching clinic for all coaches
in the Maverick League. During this clinic we will provide suggested
drills, plays, strategy and other tips to help you be the best coach,
leader and mentor possible for the children and their families.
The coaching clinic will be held in November. The date has not
been set at this time. A drill of the week and/or a play of the
week will be available at
www.pureshot.net.
Evaluation Requirements
and Scheduled Days
If your child did not participate in our previous season and is new for
this season (s)he must attend one of the two evaluation periods,
which are provided below. This includes children on a pre-formed team as
well as those signing up individually. Failure to attend one of the
evaluations may prevent us from placing your child on a team.

Registration Fees
The cost per child is $125. There is a $10 discount if
you register before October 1.
