2013 Pso baseball

PSO Baseball provides youth league baseball for kids ages 4-12. All games are played at our facilities at Prestonwood Baptist Church and are officiated by professional umpires. Each of our leagues is described below:

Age cutoff is May 1 of the playing season.
(Whatever your child's age is on May 1st of the playing season is their league playing age.)

4 Yr. Old - Coed Aussie T-Ball

-T-Ball
-6 players per team
-Bat through the line-up
-No score kept
-No League standings
-Coaches umpire (kids settle disputes with rock, paper, scissors)
-No post-season
-Medals are given to each player
-$70 (Team Fee $420) 

 *In divisions 5/6 and 7/8  all games will be played in full in the event of a run-rule if time is still left – the score will not be kept once a run-rule is in effect.

5/6 Coed National League – Modified Coach Pitch/T-Ball

-maximum pitches by coach is 3 then the ball is placed on a tee for the batter to have a maximum of 3 swings
-9 players per team
-Bat through the line-up
-No score kept
-No League standings
-Coaches umpire
-No post season
-Medals are given to each player
-$90 (Team Fee $800) 

5/6 Coed American League – Coach Pitch
          (Click HERE to register for this division)
-Inning stops at 3 outs or five runs scored
-10 players per team
-6 pitch maximum from the coach (last pitch foul does not count) – no strikeouts unless the batter fails to hit one of the allotted pitches
-Score kept
-League standings kept
-Top 4 teams advance to a single-elimination post season tournament
- Playoff champion and runner-up receive trophies – all others receive medals
-$90 (1 umpire) (Team Fee $900) 

7/8 National League – Coach Pitch (Beginner/Intermediate)

-5 pitch maximum from coach (last pitch foul does not count) – no strikeouts unless the batter fails to hit one of the 5 allotted pitches
-12 players per team
-Inning stops after 3 outs or 5 runs scored
-Top 4 teams advance to single elimination playoffs
-Playoff champion and runner-up receive trophies – all others receive medals
-$95 (1 umpire) (Team Fee $1100)

 7/8 American League - Coach Pitch (Advanced)

-6 pitch maximum from the coach (last pitch foul does not count) – no strikeouts unless the batter fails to hit one of the allotted pitches
-12-players per team
-Inning stops after 3 outs or 5 runs scored
-Top 4 teams advance to single elimination playoffs
-Playoff champion and runner-up receive trophies – all others receive medals
-$95 (Team Fee $1100) (1 umpire)

 9/10 National League - Kid Pitch (Intermediate)

-Sticky bases
-Advance only when ball crosses the plate or on a passed ball
-No Scoring on passed balls
-One base on overthrows with “kill play” in effect
-No squeeze bunts allowed – ONLY safety squeeze bunts allowed, but runner CAN NOT be running prior to ball being bunted.  The umpire has full discretion on the call.
-Top 4 teams advance to single elimination playoff
-Playoff champion and runner-up receive trophies – all others receive medals
-$110 (2 umpires) (Team Fee $1,400)

 9/10 American League - Kid Pitch (Advanced)

-Lead off and pick offs allowed
-Can steal bases
-One base on overthrows, but no “kill play” in effect
-Can score on passed balls
-Safety squeeze bunts ONLY – runner CAN NOT be running prior to ball being bunted
-Top 4 teams advance to single elimination playoffs in first round with winners advancing to a best-of-3 championship series
-Playoff champions and runner-up receive trophies – all others receive medals
-$110 (2 umpires) (Team Fee $1400)

 11/12 Kid Pitch

-Lead off and pick offs allowed
-Can steal bases
-One base on overthrows, but no “kill play” in effect
-Can score on passed balls
-Safety squeeze bunts ONLY – runner CAN NOT be running prior to ball being bunted
-Top 4 teams advance to single elimination playoffs in first round with winners advancing to a best-of-3 championship series to be played
-Playoff champions and runner-up receive trophies – all others receive medals
-All Stars are chosen
-$110 (2 umpires) (Team fee $1400)

* Every effort will be made to play all scheduled games. Due to weather and other circumstances, games will need to be made up. Make up games will be played on open available dates and Sunday afternoons. There is NO guarantee that all scheduled games will be played.
